Chinese new year
The time to receive ang baos is here again, the chance to savour "bah kwa", or barbecued pork has arrived, and not to forget the excuses to purchase more clothes.. even before the first day of chinese lunar new year, one activity most people will be involved is to squeeze ourselves dry at chinatown, whether it is last minute shopping or just want to immerse in the festive atmosphere..

At chinatown, we even met two "God of Fortune", or should it be "Gods of Fortune"? haha.. there was a wide variety of goodies at affordable prices, there was even once that i heard a seller shouted "...Come ah, come ah! Owner not here ah, anyhow sell anyhow sell ah! Cheap until siao ah..!!"

There was this round circular thing said to be selling ice cream, with all the colourful tapings on different groups of holes.. i nearly wanted to order either a durian or red bean one, when i discovered the bottles of soft drinks beside the circular thing.. it was actually popsicles made of soft drinks, which we ate the whites one made of Sprite.. i wonder if they sold Milo popsicle..

Happy lunar new year everyone!!! Gong xi fa cai!!!

Opening
It's already been like 3 weeks since school reopened since i post something here, i think the blog has gone stale!! shall i be a photo-blogger and let my pictures do the talking? i mean, y waste the opportunity to post pictures here since i possess my new camera? otherwise, it would be plain boring just reading words and sentences.. moreover, my english sucks and i'm unable to churn out good quality essays.. but i enjoy reading other people's "chim chim" blogs, never fail to be impressed on how they express their thoughts and feelings in their words..
Went to see cheerleading competition at SRC for the Hall Opening.. this time was different for me, as i watched as a spectator's view, unlike last year.. it was much much easier to just laugh along and comment on the competitors' mistakes and formation instead of going out there and doing the real thing.. i've been through both, i must say it takes real courage to perform on the stage, which i'm gladful last year's performance went smoothly for me.. sadly, we didn't even make it into top 3 last year, and this year our hall did not qualify due to last minute accidents and injuries.. nevertheless, they still went ahead with the performance which i think has better stunts and formations than my year.. hall 7 won the crowd with their unique and unexpected brand of music which was totally refreshing and convincing.. guess the key still lies on crowd entertainment..
Sw has been coughing lately, maybe due to her braces.. have to always to remind her to take medicine.. even have a bottle of Strepsils Cough syrup for her and she always say lazy to drink because have to wash spoon.. but when i take out the bottle, there was a small translucent plastic cup like those japanese sake cup covering on top of the metal cap of the bottle -- the cup has the markings of "one teaspoon /// two teaspoon"..

Welcome 2006 !!!
If you happen to poke your nose around other people's blogs, you will discover that most of them have written an entry on 31st dec to sort of like end off 2005, reflect their deeds and achievements on the past year or post their resolutions for the coming year.. i couldn't do so because i decided to join hundreds or even thousands of mindless human beings at Esplande, squeezing and squashing through my way along the jam-packed river side, all waiting for the clock to strike 12am, the fireworks to explode and 2006 to arrive.. there wasn't any prelude, just some strong spotlights waving around and the fireworks just suddenly filled up the cloudy night sky..

i just suck at taking fireworks photos, the rest were like bright speckles of blurred lights, only this is the decent one..
as soon as the show ended with a finale of one massive display of fireworks, the crowd applaused, congratulated each other with "happy-new-year!!" greetings and started to disperse as abruptly as the fireworks show.. imagine the chaos and the sheer number of people marching towards the road and city hall mrt, you can never see this amount of people altogether in one night..
we had supper at this hong kong cafe.. no, i have no money to fly to hong kong, but certainly had the mrt fare to kovan along north east line..

yup, you didn't see wrongly.. it's the FHM playing cards, comes along with the issue of FHM with Dawn Yeo at the cover.. strangely the cards don't have her, not even Fiona Xie.. but some Aces and Queens are not bad!!
2005 was a special year for me, as i spend my first year with sw.. had arguments and conflicts, but i'm glad we are still together.. hall stuff took up most of the time too, soccer, dota, meetings and of course studies.. results the same as last sem --> ka na sai!!! robin had the lead this time round, but i hope we can maintain this kind of standard, healthy competition always drive the best out of us, so i must buck up liao.. wish you all a happy 2006!!
